BEHIND THE LENS
Ylenya Giovanna Cammisa was born in the 1987 in Puglia, Italy.
After the degree in law she got the bachelor in Acting at the International Academy of Dramatic Art in Rome (AIAD directed by Alvaro Piccardi), where she had the opportunity to work and to study with ones of the most important exponents of Italian and International Theatre: Marylin Fried – who is Tom Cruise’s, Anjelica Huston’s, and Robert De Niro’s active coach - Carlo Boso, Kristof Gedrowjic, Olli Hauenstein, Paolo e Vittorio Taviani, Lello Arena, Ugo Pagliai, Rosa Masciopinto, Francis Phardeilhan, Francesco Pannofino and many others. Then she spent one year in Berlin refining the art of clowning and vocal improvisation. At the moment she works in Italy taking part in several independent companies. She is a singer specialized in opera, jazz, armonic and folk; she loves to take exhibition a-cappella along the streets of Rome. In the 2015, with the theatre Collective sch!, she won best play, best drama and best actress ex aequo award at the Fringe Festival in Rome.
